Chausseestrasse 102, since 1905
Please come in.
Ballroom, pub, beer garden and hostel under one roof. In Berlin-Mitte since 1905.

The next nights
Concerts, shows, ball nights, markets. Whoever presents the evening is named on every date.

Four places, one courtyard
Thirty paces separate the ballroom from the beer garden. Surprisingly little separates 1905 from today.

Ballroom
Stucco, spiral staircase, table telephones and chandelier, all original survivors of the building's eventful history. Concerts, variety, cabaret and the ball nights happen here.

History
Fire country, ballrooms, Ballhaus
Feuerland, fire country, is what Berliners called Chausseestrasse when the factories of the industrial age stood side by side here. In 1905 the inn Zum Alten Baden opened at this address. As Schwankes Festsaele the house survived war and revolution, from 1949 it was called Behrens Casino, from 1975 Ballhaus Berlin. The present team has run it since 2014.
